QCQ Law for Nursing Homes and Care Homes
CQC Law for Nursing Homes and Nurses
The Care Quality Comission (CQC) regulates care homes, whether they are nursing or residential.
A registered manager may well be a registered nurse. A proprietor of a care home may also be a registered nurse. In either case, a nurse has significant responsibilities to ensure the safe operation of the nursing home.
Failure can lead to CQC enforcement proceedings, criminal proceedings, Care Standard Tribunal proceedings, health and safety criminal breach proceedings and inquiries, inquests, NMC referrals, to name a few.
Nurses Defence Service provides legal advice and representation in CQC law and other legal issues concerning the operation of nursing homes. Contact us for more details.
