Nurses must disclose all of their convictions when applying for jobs in nursing, even where they might be considered spent in other professions and in other jobs. If a nurse is in any doubt they should disclose the criminal history to their potential employer. A nurse risks committing a criminal offence or may be guilty of misconduct as a nurse if they fail to disclose their convictions.
To discuss any legal matter concerning criminal convictions or the criminal law, and general disclosure, including CRB content and challenges, call Nurse Defence Service on 0800 0122 506
